About Me

therapist

I am originally from Indiana and obtained a bachelor's degree in psychology from Hanover College in Indiana in 1980. After a year spent working in a mental health center in Kentucky, I entered the University of Alabama and obtained a PhD there in 1988. I completed my pre-doctoral internship in 1987 at the William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute in Columbia, SC. I have worked for a number of state agencies in SC and have maintained a private practice for nearly 30 years. I am currently licensed to practice psychology in both SC and NC. In addition to my work as a psychologist, I enjoy gardening, hiking, practicing yoga, reading and traveling. I live with my husband, Frank, who is also a psychologist, and three cats. I enjoy trips to New Zealand to visit my step-daughter, her husband and my two delightful grandchildren.
